  • WEEE Centre is currently the only licensed e-waste recycler in Kenya.<\/span><\/li>

    • Creation of 87 direct jobs and an additional 2,000 indirect work opportunities (agents) by June 2022 with annual income opportunities of \u00a315-\u00a330 which will increase in future years as waste collection scales.<\/span><\/li>
    • Increase recycling capacity from 50 metric tonnes (MT) today to 200 MT.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      About The Founder<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Joseph Oliech<\/b> currently serves as the project manager for WEEE Centre, a national e-waste management facility in Kenya with affiliates in 15 other African countries. An alumnus of Egerton University Kenya where he studied computer science and a member of national e-waste steering committee in Kenya, Joseph has been engaged in e-waste management programs for the last 10 years, with focus on sensitization, setup of recycling schemes and e-waste recycling. He is one of the founding staff of WEEE Centre who pioneered the establishment of the recycling facility. He has so far designed and implemented e-waste collection and recycling programs with 18 corporates and organizations on behalf of WEEE Centre across 6 countries in Africa.<\/span><\/p>

      Rethabile Moraa<\/b> is a passionate environmental champion and an e-waste expert, currently engaged in sustainability and circular economy integration projects as well as e-waste management in Africa.
